Hi, I’m Natalie Barrett. I grew up in Southern California in a family deeply rooted in sports—my mom a collegiate volleyball coach and my dad an NFL scout—I was surrounded by the game from day one. Sports weren’t just a hobby; they were a foundation that taught me discipline, teamwork, and the drive to compete. This has fueled my lifelong passion for sports.

I started my collegiate athletic journey playing soccer at California State University, Chico, before transferring to West Virginia University, where I launched my career in sports through broadcast media, gaining a unique perspective on different sports from multiple angles. My passion for sports and education led me to Florida State University, where I earned my master’s degree and served as a teaching assistant, guiding both graduate and undergraduate students. I also deepened my understanding of college football through working as an intern with Florida State Football Recruiting Operations.

These experiences paved the way for my role at Duke University. I began as Coordinator of Football Recruiting and have since been promoted to Associate Director of Recruiting Operations. Every day, my focus is on supporting athletes and staff, helping them pursue their ambitions, and building programs capable of competing for championships. For me, sports are more than just competition—they’re an opportunity to inspire, develop, and achieve excellence together.
