Nick Rolovich is the Associate Head Coach and Quarterbacks Coach for the California Golden Bears. Cal announced him in that role on Jan. 15, 2026, after he served as a senior offensive assistant in 2025 and was elevated to interim head coach for Cal’s final two games, including an upset of No. 21 SMU in the regular-season finale and the Hawai’i Bowl. He worked closely with true freshman quarterback Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele, whom Cal described as one of the nation’s top signal callers and an early 2026 Heisman Trophy candidate.

Before Cal, Rolovich was head coach at Washington State and spent eight total seasons at Hawai’i, including four as head coach. At Hawai’i, he led the program to a 28–27 record, three bowl games, a 10-win 2019 season, a Hawai’i Bowl win over BYU, and Mountain West Coach of the Year honors. His offensive background includes coordinator roles at Hawai’i and Nevada, where his teams produced some of the nation’s top passing and total-offense numbers.
