Raymond Castillo serves as the Executive Assistant to the Executive Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and Administrative Analyst-Specialist at California State University, Los Angeles, where he plays a central role in advancing the department's strategic initiatives, executive operations, and organizational effectiveness. Working alongside university leadership, coaches, donors, and external partners, he leads high-level projects involving strategic planning, executive administration, travel coordination, fundraising initiatives, special events, and operational logistics that support one of the premier NCAA Division II athletics programs in the nation. Throughout his career, Castillo has developed a reputation for building systems that improve efficiency, strengthen organizational culture, and position athletic departments for sustained success. His leadership has contributed to historic achievements, including multiple conference championships, four NCAA Tournament appearances, and two national championship game appearances. He thrives in high-pressure environments where preparation, innovation, and collaboration are essential to organizational success. Prior to joining Cal State LA, Castillo served in multiple leadership roles within the Athletics Department at California State University, Dominguez Hills. During his tenure, he helped elevate the department to one of the most successful periods in school history by implementing operational improvements, enhancing internal processes, and supporting championship-caliber programs that achieved unprecedented competitive success.
