Born in the North Shore of Oahu HI, lived in Tonga, Mesa AZ, Los Angeles CA, The Bay Area CA and everywhere in Utah. Fluent Tongan speaker and connected to the Polynesian communities all over the country. I have been a dedicated football coach for 20 years. I have coached players in all phases of the game and my players know me for my player-centered leadership, disciplined approach, and commitment to developing both high-performing athletes and strong men of character. My coaching philosophy is rooted in accountability, physical and mental toughness, and selfless team work. I believe that you sustain this through organized preparation, trust, and a tireless work ethic.

Fundamentals has always been an emphasis of mine. I believe that an acute understanding of movement, time and space separates how I see the game. This attentions to detail allows me to adapt and building athletes who understand the why behind the system as much as the how. Player development has always been at the forefront of my thoughts when it comes to anything we do. I have been committed to teaching players how to compete with purpose, respond to adversity, and take ownership of their roles within the team. My players contribute on Special Teams! On the practice field, I believe in positive energy, being demanding, detailed, intentional, and organizing practice to maximize development while fostering confidence and resilience.

My ability to connect with athletes and communicate expectations clearly, allows me to lead with authenticity. I have no ego! Through the years, I’ve been able to work in many environments with diplomacy. I can bring ideas while supporting the decision made by leaders as if those decisions were my own and push one voice. My players always understand and push the team culture. I value collaboration among a coaching staff and I believes the best programs are built through shared vision, strong relationships, and consistent standards. I treat players like they were my own sons. When it comes to the program and their growth, I believe that if i’m thinking it, they deserve to know it. This transparency has always allowed me to demand discipline while still being able to mentor and push athletes to reach their potential on and off the field.
